I was told I needed to get Lance out of the house, so luckily Brent was being sworn in as an attorney Friday afternoon, and then Lance just stayed in Asheboro for some brother time....and he was taking the youth to Carowinds Saturday night so he stayed in Asheboro and slept as long as he could. It worked out perfectly! He came home to what looks like a new house!!!
Josh and Sherri Kirk, who own a greenhouse and a landscaping business in Reidsville, headed up the project. They had EVERYTHING planned out...from arranging for loads of dirt and mulch to come, to planning out placements and types of shrubbery, to organizing lunch on Saturday..it was awesome!
When Sherri first mentioned it to me, I just cried and cried because our yard is something we've been wanting to fix up for a WHILE now, but it just never happened because of one thing or another. For God to provide in this way for us through our friends was so humbling. I'll be honest and say that watching my friends fix up my yard and refusing to let me help was a bit weird to me. It's different to be on the receiving end of things. But we are SO very thankful and grateful and overwhelmed by everything. For them to give up a Saturday, their time, their money....it still makes me cry like a baby.
