I wrote Sawyer's name out on a sheet of paper and had him tell me what they were. We got to "W" and he said "M." I corrected him and he said, "NO, M." I COULD NOT convince him that it was a "W!"
He can sing the theme songs to the shows he watches. My favorite thing to hear him sing is the "Wonder Pets" songs. Precious.
I was folding laundry one night when he came over and started pulling clothes out of the basket and "folding" them, while singing "teamwork," from the Wonder Pets.
I made a new fall wreath for the front door one night after he went to bed. The next morning when he noticed it he said "I no like that. I want balloons."
I love hearing him say, "happy."
He was sitting on the potty the other day and said "I can't pee pee."
We were at the church office the other day visiting Lance, but there was an elderly man in his office. Sawyer came running into the accounting office, where I was, and stood in the corner with his eyes closed, hands clasped, and started whispering. Vanessa, our secretary, said he must've been saying "Make him go away, make him go away."
Sawyer is quite the stubborn child...after throwing an all out fit because it was time to eat dinner, he got a spanking and still refused to come to the table, so I put him in time out. We told him he could get up anytime he was ready to come to the table and eat...well, he sat there the ENTIRE time Lance and I ate and finally decided to get down when we started cleaning off the table. When he finally got to the table I told him he had to stay there until he ate 2 bites. Lance and I went and sat down in the living room and it was probably 15 minutes before we heard the sound of his fork against his bowl. Wow! But, I was proud of how he obeyed and sat exactly where we told him to without any whining.
Baby Trenton is with us this week and he'll go up to him and say "Hey, buddy!"
When Sawyer was with my parents last weekend, he and Papa were picking bad tomatoes off the vine. Papa would show him one and if it was bad Sawyer would say "Yuck" and Papa would throw it out into the woods. Then Sawyer would just belly laugh hysterically! Apparently while they were doing this Papa got tripped up and they both ended up falling down. When Sawyer told me about it he said "Papa and DeeDee...we crash...and I cry." Wish I could've witnessed that one!
Mush has been sick (we think Sawyer passed along his yuckies) and Sawyer asks me all the time, "Mush sick?" or "Mush all better?"
He LOVES Veggie Tales right now and is super adorable when he sings the theme song or one of Larry's silly songs!
If he's been sitting on the potty for a while he'll look at me and say "It's comin', mama!"
