I saw this on several blogs I read and thought it was neat...
On my nightstand...
-My Bible...I'm currently doing a year through the Bible plan with our church
-My Kindle that Lance got me for Christmas...I play lots of Free Cell!
-The "Courageous" Bible Study...doing that in Sunday School
-My Bible Study homework...working through the life of Jesus
- yarn and a crochet needle....halfway done with a new afghan!
Movies I've seen...
-If you know me, you know I don't watch movies, but I did see "Courageous" recently...great movie (book is better if you ask me!) about the role a father should have in his children's lives according to biblical standards. We're looking forward to showing it at church and meeting two of the actors!
TV...
-I'm a sucker for reality tv...if it's on Bravo, I probably watch it.
-I LOVE the Big Bang Theory!
-And, I watch tons of Yo Gabba Gabba, Fresh Beat Band, Blues Clues, and Backyardigans...thank you, Sawyer!
In my ears...
-Kari Jobe's "We Are" and "I'm Singing"
-Hide 'em in Your Heart....great scriptural truths put to music...also use this in Children's Church
-Mark Driscoll sermons...I like to listen to them during naptime!
In my kitchen...
-Very few processed items...I'm really trying to shop the perimeter of the grocery store. This means more planning on my part, but I like what I've been feeding my family lately! I made homemade scalloped potaotes the other night instead of the boxed stuff....soooo yummy!
-Stuff for smoothies...kale, frozen strawberries, frozen blueberries, frozen cranberries, bananas, wheat germ, flax seed, spinach, yogurt, etc....Sawyer and I LOVE these for breakfast!
-I've been on the hunt for a good "mug brownie" that you make in the microwave...I made one that had egg in it and it was disgusting...made another one tonight...ended up giving it to Lance because I wasn't in love with it...
Looking forward to...
-Going to the Tea Room in Greensboro with two of my best friends...they have an amazing lunch special...crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, and apple bacon coleslaw...oh, and yummy tea and scones!!
-Planning a jam session with Amy
-Starting a new children's choir with Amy on Wednesday nights...we're even going to work with the toddlers, so Sawyer will be able to play instruments and sing and dance....well, at least play instruments and dance since he doesn't sing yet!
