When we were in Asheboro, Sawyer and I had been playing blocks for what seemed like hours, so I told him he could keep playing by himself and I was going into the living room. A few minutes later, he came in, looked at Bouncer (my parent's dog) and said "Bouncers...play blocks with Deedee....pleeeeease?! Help, Bouncers....play blocks with Deedee!"
He calls sand castles "woo woo castles." I have no idea why.
Lance had a cookie one night and Sawyer walked up to him and said "Hey, I wanna eat that."
While watching "Dora the Explorer" he kept saying "Stop blue monsters" and I kept telling him that cookie monster was not on Dora....until I saw Dora tell the blue LOBSTERS to stop!
We're trying to transition Aidan to one nap, but the past two days he's fallen asleep in the middle of the living room during his usual morning nap time! Anyway, Sawyer saw him sleeping today and leaned down and said "Aidan, asleep? Pillow?? Blanket?" and then proceeded to bring him a pillow and cover him up. Precious! He also saw Aidan walk into the door (ouch!) and he went right up to him, kissed him on the head, hugged him, and said, "All better!" If only he was so compassionate and sweet when Aidan wants a toy that he has!
Last night he woke up in the middle of the night screaming/crying...I think he was having a nightmare...anyway, when I asked him this morning why he was crying he said "I cry....church." Yes, little one, you do, indeed, cry at church....
He calls a cup a "puck" and says "pack" for clap!
Saturday night we had an event in our newly rennovated chapel and Sawyer had to go to the service because there was no nursery. Anytime since VBS that we've told Sawyer he had to sit with us at church he thinks there's a movie because of the skit they did...so all during the service he's yelling "I want mooooovie" and "I wanna clap." Oh my....I quickly found his paci and stuck it right in his mouth!
I took him to Aldi by myself the other day which I rarely do because I do our big shopping there and buy enough staple items for the month. It was crazy! Through the first 2 aisles (until I was smart enough to shove the paci in his mouth!) he yelled "I want that," "I wanna eat that," "I wanna have that." And anything in reach was in our buggy, and every door in the refrigerated section got opened.
He brought me the phone today and said, "Call Mush." While the phone was ringing he was saying, "I want a Muno cake, I want a Muno cake." Hop to it, Mush!!
